UCCA Gala

The UCCA Gala, held annually in early November, brings together leading figures from the worlds of art, culture, business, and entertainment. A highlight on China’s art world social calendar, the Gala is also UCCA’s most significant annual fundraising event.

The UCCA Gala is a key fundraising platform that supports the institution’s nonprofit initiatives and its mission for championing contemporary art in China. There are multiple meaningful forms to support UCCA in these efforts. Corporate sponsors make financial and in-kind contributions to the organization of the event. Galleries and enterprises may also sponsor tables with seat reservations for their guests, expanding their access to UCCA’s exhibitions and programs. On the night of the Gala, artists collaborating with UCCA donate artworks for an exciting benefit auction. All guests are invited to take part in the benefit auction or make direct contributions, joining UCCA in deepening China’s engagement and global cultural exchange and “Bringing the Best in Art to a Wider Audience.”

Since the inaugural UCCA Gala in 2012, UCCA has worked with numerous artists and partners to establish the annual event as unforgettable celebrations of art and charity. The 2024 UCCA Gala convened over 400 guests and supporters, raising nearly RMB 8.4 million through the benefit auction and fundraising efforts. All proceeds directly contribute to the institution’s core initiatives, which include exhibitions, public programs, academic research, and nonprofit projects.
