ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

In the archery series, which will last for two classes, our teacher Ji Chao is going to show the young guests the charm of Chinese Archery. Archery wonderfully combines the art and skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow, and embodies the spirit of “gentleman”(junzi). Every of our young guests will experience the spirit of archery as well as understand the Chinese traditional morality.

What is the wisdom hidden behind the making of bows and arrows? What is the difference between the ancient competitive archery and the Olympic archery? We will show our young guests the secret of archery.

In the second class of archery series, our teacher Ji Chao is going to teach the skill of archery. Archery is not only a sport event, but also a way to cultivate the heart and spirit, which can fully develop the children physically and mentally.

Nowadays, most of the children do not have the opportunity to get in touch with martial art. However, archery is a precious tradition that we should find back. Following Ji Chao, let’s experience the cultural legacy of our nation.

In the Touching China Series, the teacher will introduce children into traditional Chinese culture by playfully practicing poems and customs, highlighting the details of traditional culture, in order to feel the artistry in life.
