In conjunction with the 4th Franco-Chinese Month of the Environment screening series organized in partnership with the French Institute of China, UCCA invites famous French documentary director Jean-Michel Vecchiet for a sharing session themed around “Territory, Urbanity, and Humanity.” Vecchiet will share his experience going on a series of ten trips to China that began in the early 1990s, and reflect on the transformation of cities and territories, as well as his cinematographic explorations of contemporary China. The director meeting centers on Vecchiet’s previous titles, including Shanghai, Memory of Pierre, Marc Riboud, and The Man Who Walks.

An art institution with a global vision, UCCA actively promotes cultural exchange through film screenings organized in collaboration with the French, Canadian, Australian, Austrian, and Dutch embassies, as well as the European Union, Goethe Institute, and French Institute of China, among other organizations. UCCA is also experienced in organizing domestic and international film screening series and related events.
