UCCA and VICE are proud to present Fishing Without Nets as part of their ongoing screening series. This fictional short film about Somali pirates is told from the perspective of a young Somali fisherman as he deals with the perverse economic incentives that fuel piracy in the region.
Fishing Without Nets won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance in 2012. Now the filmmakers are in post-production on a feature length version produced by VICE and Think Media Studios.
