Seeds are nature’s magicians; they carry extraordinary power in their bodies. A seed can turn itself into a large plant, blooming and bearing fruit. It can come together with different partners to form new patterns and designs. Have you ever tried working with a seed? Some travel by air and some journey with little animals. Maybe you too could play with a seed magician and see what it becomes. At the end of this event, every child will receive a packet of seeds.

Nature is a source of inspiration for artists. The changing colors of the seasons, animals whispering in the woods, and the rich smell of the trees and the soil all serve as sparks to our imagination… The multicolored, multitextured objects found in nature make the best materials for handicrafts . In “Touching Nature”, we will use resources from nature and recycled materials to create our art works.

Magic Cat Eco Workshop

combines arts and crafts with education about the natural world. Teaching happens through play; we create art works from objects found in nature, and we make useful things from ordinary household rubbish. Our aim is simple, to let city kids get up close and personal with mother nature!

Sheng Jianghua has worked in nature experience education for a decade. She is an expert on making art work with natural and recycled materials. She also wrote the book, Children, Let’sLove Nature.
