ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Celebrate Mother’s Day with some art from the heart this May! Sheng Jianghua from the Magic Cat Eco Workshop will be leading a card-making session at UCCA so that kids can show their appreciation through handicrafts.

UCCA Touching Nature Series

Nature is a source of inspiration for artists. The changing colors of the seasons, animals whispering in the woods, and the rich smell of the trees and the soil all serve as sparks to the imagination… The multicolored, multitextured objects found in nature make the best materials for handicrafts. In the “Touching Nature” Series, we will use resources from nature and recycled materials to create our artworks.

PARTNER

Magic Cat Eco Workshop combines arts and crafts with education about the natural world. Teaching happens through play; we create art works from objects found in nature, and we make useful things from ordinary household rubbish. Our aim is simple, to let city kids get up close and personal with nature.
