About This Program

Though often overlooked, the winter solstice is one of the most important days in the Chinese lunar calendar. The festival marks the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere.

In this activity, Ji Chao will teach kids about the winter solstice and how it is celebrated in China: winter folk drawings, eating dumplings, and other interesting customs.

UCCA Touching China Series: Zhi-Xing Hall
