About UCCA Museum Night
On August 20, UCCA invites you to experience an evening of artistic reflection, inspiration, and creation during our first UCCA Museum Night with a special performance by Korakrit Arunanondchai—featuring LA-based performance artist boychild, environmental artist AJ Gvojic, and Chinese Young Artist Chen Tianzhuo and his friend Bloodz Boi —commissioned to accompany the opening of his solo exhibition "2558." The performance is followed by a midnight screening of the Iranian film About Elly.

About Together in a room filled with people with funny names: Korakrit Arunanondchai in Performance with boychild, AJ Gvojic, Harry Borstein, and Korapat Arunanondchai
Korakrit Arunanondchai's live performance features his twin brother Korapat Arunanondchai, performance artist boychild, and more than thirty volunteers. During the performance, Korakrit will dance, rap, paint with his body, and interact with the audience. Previous performances in Bangkok, New York, and London have intrigued viewers and sparked a dialogue on the role of performance art in Thai culture.

Korakrit Arunanondchai (Artist)
Korakrit Arunanondchai (b. 1986, Bangkok) lives and works in New York and Bangkok. He received his MFA at Columbia University in 2012. His solo exhibitions include "Performance at the Museum" (Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw, 2014); "2557 (Painting with History in a Room Filled with Men with Funny Names 2) (with Korapat Arunanondchai)" (Carlos/Ishikawa, London, 2014); "Letters to Chantri 1: The lady at the door/The gift that keeps on giving (with Boychild)" (The Mistake Room, Los Angeles, 2014); "Korakrit Arunanondchai" (MoMA PS1, New York, 2014).
boychild (Performer)
boychild is a Los Angeles-based performance artist. Her performances have been presented at MoMA PS1, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Kulturhuset, Stockholm, MOCA Los Angeles, MOMA Warsaw, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, ICA London.
AJ Gvojic (Environmental Artist)
AJ Gvojic is a New York based artist specializing in environmental design and cinematography. Using fog, lighting, video, and special effects he strives to create a "hyper reality" that blends both tangible and computational realities into all encompassing one-off environments and films. Gvojic's work has been shown at Palais de Tokyo, Moma PS1, The Stedelijk Museum, MOMA Warsaw, The New Museum, and Art Basel Miami.
