In this workshop, children will learn to enjoy the exhibition “Wang Xingwei” under the guidance of famed painter Chen Wei. During the tour, Chen will refrain from imposing explanations on the children; instead, he will encourage them to create their own interpretations of the paintings. The artist will later play art-related games with the children based on the works in the exhibition, using colorful iron wires and paper to create their own sculptures.

These workshops provide an opportunity for families to learn about contemporary art and for children to develop their artistic talents in the company of leading artists. Children’s workshops are organized in conjunction with UCCA exhibitions.

Chen Wei was born in Xinjiang in 1963. He established Chenwei Painting in 2003, an organization dedicated to bringing art education out into nature.
