ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Screenwriter/film critics Zhang Xiaobei and Shi Hang will share their insights into film appreciation. Among the questions they will be discussing: What makes a movie good or bad? Is there such a thing as an objective standard for a “good” or “bad” film? Why are some well-liked movies not necessarily good, and some very annoying movies not necessarily bad?

This series is sponsored by Smart. After each lecture, audience members will have the opportunity to test drive a Smart car, so remember to bring your valid Chinese drivers’license!
