The global reputation of the Hong Kong International Film Festival, one of the oldest film festivals in Asia, was built on its pioneering program of Asian films and retrospectives. Through its two-month mid-year program, the Summer International Film Festival, HKIFF aims to increase appreciation of global film culture and promote inspiring films from around the world, enriching the cultural lives of young people.
This August, UCCA and the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society will screen seven works from the Summer International Film Festival. The UCCA program is dedicated to bringing the best in world cinema to a Beijing audience.

The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS) is a charitable, non-profit, and non-governmental organization dedicated to the discovery and promotion of creativity in the art and culture of film. Committed to the development of a vibrant film culture in Hong Kong and Asia, the Society organizes two annual flagship events in March and April: the Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) and the Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF).
