Joining classes in the middle of the semester, sixteen year-old Li Xiaolu quickly befriends the top student, Wang Xiaobing. Together they discover the writings of San Mao and find the most beautiful places in Baocheng—the orchard and the riverbank—but the passing of time sees a rift emerge between the two. During the summer holiday after their college entrance exams, Xiaobing visits Xiaolu for the last time. As memorable as their first encounter, their friendship is rekindle during this one moment.

Li Xiaofeng (Director)

enrolled in Hogeschool Sint-Lukas Brussels in 2001 to study filmmaking. In 2002, he joined director Lu Chuan’s workshop as a creative consultant. In 2007, he became one of the scriptwriters and lead actors for Zhang Yuan’s Dada’s Dance, which was an official entry to The Sundance Film Festival and Dubai International Film Festival. In May 2014, Li finished shooting his debut feature film, Nezha, which participated in the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival and received the award for Most Creative Project from CFPC (China Film Pitch and Catch)
