ABOUT OUR GUEST

Li Shurui is a well-known young artist with works exhibited both in China and abroad. Her works, The Unknown Shimmering at the Edge of the World and Heiqiao Tower of Babel feature in the ON | OFF exhibition at UCCA.

“Light and space are the keywords in all of my works. I firmly believe that in every different culture and time, light and space can be used to reflect and build the needs and mental status of each individual. I hope to awaken the physicality of my audience and then conjure a series of conceptual ripples, engaging the viewers’ understanding of epistemological structure and individual memory.”
