Drawing is not only the foundation of painting, but also of all visual arts, and ultimately of perception. Come join us at UCCA in October to draw under the guidance of our experienced teacher. You will not only gain the skills for artistic creation and comprehension, but also change the way you interact with the world outside of the museum.

This month, UCCA is offering two drawing classes for UCCA’s members. For the first class, students will be guided to draw after closely studying the artworks exhibited in the Great Hall and the Central Gallery. For the second class, students will each choose a painting master’s landscape and reproduce their own version, which will allow them to learn specific sketching and watercolor painting techniques. Our drawing classes are geared towards adult students with all levels of experience. For absolute beginners, our teacher will teach you the basics of line, perspective, and contour so that you can build the necessary groundwork. For those with a background in art, you will be given the opportunity to hone your current skills and try your hand at other mediums.
