Apart from being one of the most important art centers in the world, New York is also packed with dazzling public art installations. With such a diverse selection of open-air works, how is public art funded and administered in the United States?

Charlotte Cohen has been an advisor and consultant in the field of public art for many years. She has worked in New York City and internationally, managing dozens of commissions and large public art collections. UCCA invites Charlotte Cohen to give a talk on public art in the United States, how art can be integrated into urban sites both permanently and temporarily, and how it can respond to neighborhood urban design and community interests.
