UCCA is proud to present the special collaboration between the internationally celebrated art magazine PARKETT and artist Liu Xiaodong, which appears in the newly published PARKETT 91. This issue stages a critical retrospective of Liu’s artistic practice over the last two decades, with a special focus on his latest live painting project in Hotan, Xinjiang, and includes contributions from Charles Merewether, Hou Hanru, and UCCA Director Philip Tinari. For this forum, UCCA Director Philip Tinari engage Liu Xiaodong in Beijing’s first discussion on his experience in Hotan. This event is particularly special in light of Liu's 2010 exhibition "Hometown Boy" and the 2012 exhibition "Inside a Book a House of Gold: Artists' Editions for Parkett," both staged by UCCA.
