About the Film

Written and directed by Milcho Manchevski, Before the Rain tells three, tragic love stories unfolding in Macedonia and London. Using a circular narrative approach, the seemingly unrelated details of each are finally intertwined to create a powerful portrait of modern Europe, ending with the same shot with which it began.
