A grown-up feature film debut Egg and Stone by a major talent, grabbing the top prize (Tiger Award) at Rotterdam Film Festival this year. Huang Ji will present her film at UCCA in Indie Film Forum.
Huang Ji (1984, Hunan, China) was educated in scriptwriting at the Beijing Film Academy. Two of her favorite filmmakers are Krzysztof Kieslowski and Kawase Naomi. Her first short film, The Warmth of Orange Peel, was presented at the Berlinale in 2009. Egg and Stone is her first feature film.
