The well-known historian Yang Kuisong is bringing his four books to public:

The four books of revolution share one theme: the revolution in China at the first half of 20th centry. Revolution in the Intermediate Zone – The International Circumstances and the Historical Evolution of Strategy of Chinese Revolution and Cooperative and Clash between Mao Zedong and Moscow focus on the discussion of the international background of revolution of Chinese Community Party Revolution, especially its affection from Russian revolution and the outer factor from strong neighbor compatitors. The previous book focuses on the macro stuctue of the revolution and later one the personal experience and function in the whole process. Kuomindang to CCP: United and Against? and New Study on Xi’an’s Incident – Studies of Relations between Zhang Xueliang and CCP focus on the two parties in modern China – the competition between Ntionalist Party and Community Party, while the previous one talks about the overral changes of two parties and the later one main events of the relation between two parties.

The four books of revolution are significant not only in that so far they speak most of Yang’s study, but also in that they bring us back to the complicated situation of social and revolutionary history of that historical period. How to look straight at the history and tell the truth of it is the responsibility of historians, also the expectation of readers. The publishing of the four books is a good opportunity to invite many scholars, including Yang Tianshi, Chen Yongfa and Pei Yili. Together with Yang Kuisong, they will bring us to a brilliant talk about the different phases of the modern revolution of China, as well as its complicated events and people involed.
