Starting in September 2010, graphic designer Wu Fan will lead ten students from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) Institute of Design in a practical workshop designed to help young designers find creative new ways of seeing and utilizing common everyday objects. His “Useless Objects Workshop” at UCCA is a continuation of a workshop curriculum he created in 2009.

Twice a month, Wu Fan and the students will conduct a three-hour workshop in the newly-refurbished UCCA Loft space. The fruits of their investigations into design will be displayed in a group show at the UCCA Loft on Thursday, January 13, 2011
