About This Program

Intended for children 3 to 5 years old, the Colorful Picture Book Series uses picture books to help kids take their first step into the world of art. In this activity, Wang Xuan will share two picture books, The Gardener and A seed Is Sleepy. Kids will learn about how plants grow as well as the joys of sharing, followed by a craft project using clay.

The UCCA Colorful Picture Book Series uses picture books to help children understand how art and illustration can enrich their lives. Through these activities, kids will learn how to use art to express themselves.

Wang Xuan has worked in children’s art education for several years. By observing children working with art, she aims to find new ways to help children explore the visual world.
