How many lines can a person draw in a lifetime? It’s nearly impossible to calculate. Artist Li Di spent one month drawing hundreds of thousands of lines on a 26-meter long wall of a museum with 800 Chung Hwa HB pencils. As the artist used up these physical materials, how much inner spirit was also consumed? This question is even more impossible to answer. Chung Hwa HB offers visual evidence of the artist’s creative process, filled with both anticipation and anxiety.
