ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

As a design theorist, Wang Shouzhi has written influential books such as A History of Modern Design, A History of Graphic Design, A History of Modern Architecture and Art Now. Having been taking efforts to mould Chinese design with his international insight, Wang Shouzhi also thinks a lot about the development of design education in China. Architecture is no longer a reflection of culture and thinking; the appeal of money and power gives birth to the abnormal prosperity of landmark architectures. The lecture provides a personal interpretation from Wang Shouzhi about how to escape such a trap.
