This edition of UCCA Children’s Reading Workshop Master Series is about the award-winning children's author and illustrator Leo Lionni.

Leo Lionni, is a wellknown American artist in the field of graphic designwho decided to withdraw from all of this when he reached the peak of his career, Together with his wife, he returned to theirsecond home, Italy, and started creating picture books
Picture books provided a chance to express his voice and feeling. Once on a short train trip, he tore off some colorful sheets a magazine to tell stories to his 5 years old grandson and 3 years old granddaughter. This was the prelude to the future famous picture book Small blue and yellow. Since then, Leo Lionni was known as:the Children’s illustrator master

Children’s Reading Workshop Master Series is presented in cooperation with Poplar, Japan’s largest children’s book publisher. This is a wonderful opportunity for kids and parents to experience and enjoy the work of some of the world’s finest children’s authors, illustrators and storytellers.
