The memory of a nation is history, and so is the memory of a person. My young artists, do you have an unforgettable memory of one day or one interesting thing. If the answer is “yes,” do you want to turn it into a marvelous “history”?
The 170 stop-action videos of artist Kan Xuan , which together record every known imperial tomb in China show us the history of a nation. And you, the young artists, will use pasteboard to make a “window of the time”, which records different moments of your treasured memory, and finally create a stunning handmade “video”.
Every year, UCCA features many exhibitions that inspire and ignite the imagination. This is the first event of our new “artist-led series”, which will allow kids to engage more deeply with our exhibitions and the work of artists on display.
