ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Who are the cultural actors of the alternative city? How have they acted to create a new cultural space? A space where a non-mainstream culture exists, proud of its independence and engagement.

For this inaugural module of a colloquial program organized by the French Embassy in China, the main topic will focus on cultural aspects of the alternative city. The difference is coming from individual actions, from creators and intellectuals. The public and economic powers are greatly interested in these actions.

You are invited to listen to some of these creators and intellectuals debating about the new urban spaces, and the several new ways opened to every one of us, in order to better live in our cities.
