Alter: An Audio-visual Installation for 16 iPads & 16 People

UCCA presents Alter, an audio-visual installation for 16 iPads and 16 people, created by Tamara Saulwick in collaboration with Peter Knight, Martyn Coutts and Steve Berrick. Alter creates a pocket in time for the act of collective listening and contemplation, meditating on invisible systems and connectedness. Bodies, light, and space are threaded together in this intimate sensory encounter. After the performance, two artists will have a conversation about their creative practice and methodology. They will also discuss the reasons for, and challenges to, incorporating digital technology into the performance.
